Cherries are good for you.
If you are always on the hunt for a good and healthy food for diabetics, then how about trying cherries? It seems that cherries have a valuable nutrient that is called quercetin, which carries antihistamine and anti-flammatory properties by nature. Making cherries only second to apples in regards to the nutrient.
Based on having the compound of quercetin, it seems that cherries may be able to reduce factors of diabetes and heart disease due to its antioxidant properties of the fruit and also it’s red color.
So in essence whenever you feel like food for diabetics are limited, this goes to show you that you can just browse your local produce section at your grocery store and find a new food to add to list and enjoy life the way it is meant to be.
